Psy-T & Echo Voodoo - Predisposed Made for the January KVR contest. The task was to create a song about your new year's resolution, mine was "to spend more time in the nude". Making of: I wrote the lyrics in about 15 minutes, and gave them to Echo Voodoo, to sing in whatever way he likes (whatever speed, melody, key [with a preference for minor keys], et cetera). he sent me back a vocal recording. I processed it in Recycle, then started building the track around it in Reason, added some background vocals of myself, and some recordings of me playing the harmonica, and mixed it. I then sent it to E.V. again and he added a lovely interlude. You may find Echo Voodoo's website here. Pink Floyd - Echoes (Psy-T's Short Mix) Someone made a remix of that very same song, and the vocals in it were totally out of sync, and I found the added elements entirely unfitting for the original. I commented saying about as much, and later felt I might have been too harsh with the remixer, and I thought maybe I should try doing it myself before criticizing so harshly, to see if I could do any better, and so, here's my take on it. :) Made for the December KVR contest. The task was to create a song for Christmas. A nice guy who goes by the name Max el Belga helped me with the vocal processing and mix on this one. Made for the November KVR contest. The task was twofold: First, the song had to utilize the Call and Response technique; Second, it had to be about a historical event which took place in November (of any year). On the evening of November 10th, 1619, Rene Descartes is documented to have dreamed some pretty influential dreams - dreams which have been said to inspire his work Meditations on First Philosophy. Pons Asinorum consists of myself and Sekret Hush. This song was made for the October KVR contest. The task was to compose a Rock song. A new version of this song is in the making, which will include a guitar solo, and be mixed better. Now I don't really consider this piece of music sad, I don't really consider any piece of music sad. I was told by friends and family that it is a sad song, which is why I submitted it. my tenth liveact if my memory does not deceive me, made last night.. i was mixing on traktor for a few friends on radio when traktor decided to crash, played a random 2 minute mp3 and hastly opened an empty rack in reason and started writing the basis for this liveact, planned to do it for an hour, but it wasn't in the cards, as reason started freezing about 40 minutes into it. i started recording about 5-10 minutes after i started, enjoy. .. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

my first collaboration with Alex, back in 2002 (or was it 2003?), the guy being remixed used to hang around reasonstation and his original is a very funky house track. we took it and made it into slow progressive house. by now i don't actually know if it's crap or not because it has grown on me so much over the years, i love it. ..
